♡Giving Directions In Te Reo♡

If you are not in Kapa Haka you have to learn about the Maori language every Monday afternoon. 

Last week we were learning about giving directions in Te Reo. We had to make this Maze  on tables in a slide. But then you had to get someone in the classroom to test it, they would have a blank table on there screen and you had to give them directions in Te Reo. But today I am showing you the most words I used giving directions to another student in this classroom.

 This was actually very tricky activity to do because my pronunciation in Te Reo is very bad, so sometimes the other student screen would look completely different to mine.  I have screenshot my maze they people had to copy, but I was saying it in Te Reo.

♡Piece Of Art Turns Into A Poem♡

welcome back to my blog! 

Today I have written a poem about this cool modern piece of art. The piece of art is very colourful, so it might be very tricky. I have chose this picture off google images. I am really happy with the image I chose. If you don't know already once a week out class (Rimu) have to do a blog post about our home work. 

We have to pick one activity to do it about off our class website. Today I chose to do poem about a random image. 

This week/next week  is going to be a super busy week with my school work as I have to finish my reading work and I am far away from finishing! But I believe I will be okay if I do it everyday when I am free. 

Here is the poem. 

Hot sand shriveled on my feet, 

while the sun burned my hot hot cheeks. 

Water splatters on my legs while 

my eyes burn with flames that flared. 

Kids scream with cheer and parents worry 

with fear. 

Kids throw sand with shovels 

making my eyes cripple 

♡ Do I Work For The News??♡

Hey Everyone, 

welcome back to my blog. 

Today I have now turned into a new reporter, which is crazy! I went from being a normal student going to school everyday but now my whole life has changed!  Kidding, today for my homework I had to be a news reporter and I have made a slide which has all the weather on it and some effects which I made. All of the things I have included in this blog post I have done it myself. 

The most challenging thing about this was probably making the slides as I had to make sure it looked right, to be able to blog about it. Which was your favorite thing about this blog post? I really didn't like making the screencastify but I had to. What would do to make this blog post wayyy better? I would love to know so then I can improve next time.

♡New Reading Work♡

Hey Everyone, 

welcome back to my blog. 

If you haven't check my last couple of blogs, I blogged about how we went on dates with books. Now we are doing Novel Study which is reading a chapter of the book you choose, then you have to do these activities of it. And today I am going to be showing you some of the activites what I did on the first chapter. It's been super fun reading about this book because it's super interesting. It's called "My Brothers War" I would differently check it out if you like war!! 

For this past week we have 5 test which isn't ideal. On monday we did two a Maths and Reading 

E-asttle. Then on Tuesday we did our writing E-asttle too, I found the writing one very tricky because we have to write about this picture and it was kind of hard for me. But the rest were okay, I think. Not long ago today we had Maths and Reading PTA test. But anyway I don't think  I have a couple of test until a long time.

♡Small Persuasive Takes Over♡

Hey Everyone, 

welcome back to my blog. 

Today I have wrote a little persuasive which I want to come true. It's about why homework shouldn't be aloud for schools. Do you know how great that would be for everyone if it were stopped? I would personally love that!! I know some people love work/school but I am not one of them! So you may be wondering why I am doing this and funny enough it's actually for my homework. If you don't know already we have to do 1 activity and blog about it, that's what I am doing today!! I have to record myself doing but I don't want to show my face.

Wouldn't you just love having no homework or no worries about having to do it? My name is Chloe and today I will be speaking about  why we shouldn't do homework. People have to come home from a busy,  tiring day of school and they couldn't think of anything worse than doing homework. Some people have a lot of anxiety doing homework because they worry to much about it. Homework takes a lot of time to finish, so you are already missing out of the rest of your afternoon. So you wouldn't be able to hang out with family/friends. If you don't know already 70% of the people in our school DISLIKE homework. So in conclusion I think it should be stopped so its least pressure on students. 

♡Athletics♡

Hey Everyone, 

Welcome back to my blog! 

On Wednesday the 30th October was athletics day. For the past 2 weeks Rimu class has been practicing for athletics. It has been very challenging for me this year because I hurt my leg with a horse riding injury. But I still had so much fun!! Anyway on Wednesday the year 7&8 started off at Discus (I'm not good at this). The highest I got was 9m but we needed 16m to go to zones. I'm not sure who got into zones for that. After we went to sprints, then my leg started to hurt so badly but I still tried. For the year 8 girls Jedi, Parwin got in for zones, I think. 

Then we went to high jump, I only got up to 1m. But in 2017 I won the high jump at 110m. I use to be alright at high jump but now I'm really bad. Jedi got up to one meter 23, so she clearly won that. LONG JUMP, we needed 3 meters 60. My highest was 3m, but I'm not sure who won it. LAST was shot put and I did so bad because it's my least favorite. Julia won that one. So after that fun morning we had house relays, I'm a ormsby (Yellow) House leader with Julia. It was super fun and our team came first!! Not to long after, the staff, some students and parents who came to watch their kids Decided to do a relay. So the students are Jedi, Julia, Parwin, Thom, Corbin, Alvin and me. Not sure about the parents and staff. We took the lead when we started and finished It was super FUN!!

♡Did We Get A New School Uniform?♡

Hey Everyone, 

Welcome back to my blog. 

For one of my task for homework, we had to make a new school uniform and it could of been anything. So I decided to make a comfortable uniform because sometimes being in uniforms for 6 hours can be very uncomfortable. I have made sure that they are still under the school rules. I have put in the school logo on the clothes. This took me along time to do and it's not  even at high quality drawing. 

The shoes will be there option as they can pick any comforty shoes to be in for 6 hours or more.
