She has asked us to pick a Country out 10 Im not going to name them as there's to many. But England was apart of that and I'm british so I pick England.

PET DAY!!!!!

                                                                Hey Everyone!

So last Friday which has just been we had Pet day for the Yaldhurst School, it was very exciting to see all the different and lovely animals there. I brought our dog (SOX) he is so cute I love him so much, My mum brought him at 1:45 pm to our school! early in the morning we made Sand saucer with my best friend Piper.

Sand Saucer / PET DAY!

                                                              Hey Everyone!



Today is Pet day for Yaldhurst school. So far we have done Sand Saucer I did it with my best friend Piper she helped so much through this, She brought these stones which a blue and white what were very pretty.Thanks to Julia and Hannah for giving us some cool flowers.  We did a very good job, I brought some flowers and leafs to decorate the sand. At 1:45 pm My mum is going to bring our little dog called (Sox) he is super cute, Yesterday we brought a outfit for him and we tried it on him Yesterday and it looked so cute. At 11:00 am we are doing hobby horse, I decided to do it at the last minute so what I did was I went onto the big Flied and I found lots of stinks on the ground so I found one with leafs on the end of it so I thought It could be its mane! 
Then Piper and I found some rocks on the ground so we drawn on some and my one was called Leah!

A&P show!

                                                                 Hey everyone 



So last week I did the Canterbury A&P Show on my horse Cheetah, I did the Golden Horse, I did n hand and ridden N hand - means when you lead the horse and its looking fancey ridden - means when you ride the horse and it looks fancy too. I was very impressed how the show went. I did my 

 n hand on the Wednesday at 8:00 am so I got at the show at 6:30 am. Then I had my ridden at 11:3o am, I missed my first class because I didn't know how early it was. It was kinda dumb because there was no time schedule so I was rushing way to much. To get to my class in time, I got to the place I needed to go and the guy told me you've missed your first class


So then it was my class next I went in it and I started to trot around with these other golden horses, They look a little better than I did But I was still proud how I went. I only got placed once in the n hand which wasn't that good then on the ridden I did pretty I was super proud how I went.

Book Character Day!!

Yesterday was book character day and it was super fun, I went as rabbit from winnie the pooh, Then my friends were either Piglet, Tigger and Pooh It was super fun, It was cool as we were in a whole group together. We started the day with a fistable outside on the court which was awesome because we saw so many cool characters from books i've rid before. So many people in our class looked way better than I did it was crazy! When I picked my outfit It was a last minute decision. So the night before the day I quickly went to the 2 dollar shop!
When I were the tootoo I felt like a bellringer.

Hook on Books!

                                                          Hey Everyone!


This week is Hook on book week which basically means that there's a box in the middle of the mat in the classroom. We started on Monday and one  of the boy students opened it. Then Tuesday I got to open it! Which was very cool. Its called ( Laugh off 4 forever  ). My favourite book is the liar and I  Its based on a Mystery I'm pretty sure!! Its my favorite book so far. Cant wait what tomorrow brings, Actually tomorrow Its Book Character day and I'm going as rabbit off Winnie the pooh Im doing with my friends! Hannah, Bree and julia is doing it with me! Hannah is going as pooh, Bree is going as Piglet and Julia is going as Tigger! I Cant waist because our outfit looks pretty cool!

HURRICANE PIPER!!

                                                       Hey Everyone! 


 This was my story about a hurricane, called Hurricane Piper. My friend name is called Piper so I decided to name it that! I made this a while back but I never did anything with it so that's why I'm posting this :) I remember this took kinda a long time. It's a story about a girl and a hurricane. I made it because it was only thing that came to my mind. I would love some feedback on how I could improve on anything! Hope you enjoy this slide show.



      

Sailing trip!!

On friday the 2nd of November we went on the sailing trip which was very fun! but very scary. Here is my recount about it!!

Waking up at 6:00 am on a Friday morning with a smile on my face, Got up and got dress into my mufti clothes then dashed downstairs to make my lunch and do all my morning jobs! Then  I headed to the car to pick my cousin up from the airport at 8:00 am then my mum drop us off at school,

I did my jobs for school eventually the teacher got us on the carpet to tell us to get on the bus and head to Lake Rua, We got to the place and we got instructions from the workers we had to put the sail up in we had to have a team of threes. It was very confusing putting it together but very fun, we choose the the pink sali everyone wanted it but we got to it first, it was like a cheetah and a lion racing to go and get the sali,

The guy took us back over for more instructions for how to ride the sali. Then we went to our sali tried to learn how to sail It was very funny how I did  it. I nearly hit my head because when you want to go the other way you have to change sides of the sail then the pole what keeps the sali up moves to the other side to!

Then we strolled to the other side of the lake to go on the sail. My team of three were Jedi, Parwin and I, Jedi went on the sail first she was super nervous and exited!!! She came back with this huge smile on her face, Then Parwin went on because I was to scared to go next. Parwin was very scared but she did a awesome job at it then she came back with a smile she was very proud of herself.

I went on the sali next I was very nervous I was shaking a bit But I was very scared I had all these worms in my stomach I didn’t feel safe for myself like I was about to die. The people had to help me though as it was very hard! But at the end I got the hang of it, it turned out to be very easy. But 1 turn was enough for me,  All the Parents and Teachers were in the water pushing the people away and getting them back in!

Eventually the instructor said it was lunch time so we ate then headed back for another turn But I didn't want to go again because so many people fell in! So instead I just watched and help but When you push the people out into the water you fall in too so I got so wet Like I wanted to go for a swim! Then everyone keep falling in it was kinda funny but this one boy had cuts on his leg from the motor, But he was okay. Then it ended so we got dressed into our clothes in these big containers were the sails live in!

Eventually we got back at the school then our day ended!!!

My best day ever!

                                                                   Hey everyone! 

This was my best day ever, it was about a show I did on my horse! I did lots of practising with my horse to get to this show! My upcoming show is the Canterbury A&P show! I was very proud anyway, The other day the class had to do their best day ever, Bye!!

It all started when I was waking up at 5:30 am on a Saturday morning, I got dressed and dashed to the back door to get in the car. The car was on the frozen grass, I was staying at my mum’s friend house since it was closer to the horses! I had to wake up fresh because I had a big horse competition, I was exhausted and nervous but I was looking forward to it!

I got at the horses we put them on the float and They went on so easily! Then we started heading to the show!
  I got at the show pretty early in the morning we started helping my sister getting ready to do her class, she did showing which is walking, trotting and cantering but you have to make your horse look pretty.

She did very well but her first class was n hand, which is the same but you're leading the horse not riding it!  Eventually, she did her ridden and she did very well! I got my horse ready to go in the class I was doing n hand first we did pretty well, in the classes but one of the classes she decided to be a bit silly and start trotting like a big fancy stallion, she was being silly because the big Clydesdale went past!

So I came last in the class but I was still happy. After I did my n hand class I went and did my ridden, so I went back and put her bridle saddle and number plate on her, a number plate is when you have this little pocket which is see-through, then you can add these laminated numbers! Within minutes I put all of my gear on then jumped on cheetah (My horse) Then I did really well in my classes I was very proud of us, we worked together as a team, In one of my classes It was just me in it, so I won it :)
 All of the classes you win money so I won $50 dollars which was awesome! I got lots of 4ths,

Novel Study!!

                                                                      Hey Everyone


So this term we have started Novel study which is a book that we are given in our reading groups, you have slides to work through, So if your in the middle of your book you would see what your task is to do on the slide, I remember in Rimu class we did it last year so I know what I'm doing I guess, The teachers give you books that match your reading level, Once you have finished your Novel you will get another one to work on, On the slides you have a mind map so if you read a paragraph of your story then you have to fill in your map! Its a very cool subject we are doing, Last year It was in term 4 too!
I'm reading ( A Pony For Penny) have you heard of it? have you read it? So far it is a very cool book! I really like it! There will be some photos of the book down below, Not only one reading the book but my group is too! Here is the photo of the book!

Holidays have gone :(

                                                                         Hey Everyone!!




Wow I can't believe the holidays have already gone :( They went so  fast I wished they stayed longer
Do you wish they had longer holidays than only 2 weeks? I do!
I'm going to tell you what I got up to in the holidays!! You can tell me what you got up to!

So it started off in the weekend I was so excited for the holidays, then a couple days go of me doing nothing, then I had to start packing because my sister had a big horse event which is called Springton trophy. (do you know it? if you don't google it up) (It's not racing) So basically what they do is Dressage which is Walk, Trot, and Canter but you have to make your horse look nice! Then you have Cross country whatis all these jumps on a big filed what is a course you have to learn! They have bush jumps and they're mostly made out of wood. Then you have Showjumping what is all these stands what have poles on them, its a course you have to learn, for Springton, it is a Pony club event! So whoever does the best out of all of the event you will win! So if one of your team members don't do good then you will be put back a lot. so there is lots of pressure on all of the teams. My sister team came 9th which isn't that good but they still did great! Last year my sister team came 1st which was amazing! 

Then we got back, I went to see my horse, and I rode it, Then we just chilled for the rest of the days, Then a couple of days went past and we planned to go on a trip to Kaikoura with my mum's friend and their sons! It was such a fun time. We only stayed a night there in a holiday house, it was right next to the sea so we saw so many seals, fish, and octopus. Then it all came to an end which was so sad! Anyway, I hoped you Enjoyed. Please give me some Feedback!

Maori Days

So this week I've only been to school twice so I had a lot of work to catch up on Because of we
have our own timetable to work on so I had lots of work to do, We have to self-manage which is very fun because I can go to school and get working, Anyway this is my Maori days of the week that I've been working on, I used the website flipsnack which is such a good website  to do cool presentations, Sadly the website wasn't working so I had to take screenshots and put into slides instead.

Narrative book :O

                                                                      Hey Everyone!      This week I did my Narrative Book Well I mean Today since I haven't been feeling well so  I didn't go to school on Monday and Tuesday So I missed out on a lot of work but  Today I catch up on a lot, So I decided that I'm going to blog about my Book Narrative because of I  didn't know what to post.  The narrative book is about People who lived in space then went down to earth and yes if you have watched the 100 on Netflix this is kind of like it but there is a twist to it so yeah,  I made my book presentation with FlipSnack so make sure you go try it out because it is such agood website to make awesome presentation, If you already know of flipsnack do you like it?

• stuck in a concrete room   cold, stone rock, room in space, thinking to myself what have I done wrong to be in here, maybe they just want me for something, Im scared and I have feared all on me,

Lucy is a normal 16-year-old girl, She has lots of interesting features about her but no one knows her story. Wearing the same black ripped clothes every day,

Lucy thinks she is a swag person so she walks like a hipster and smells like candy and fresh air.

Her family is stuck in space in this HUGE rocket, that have rooms inside like the prison  smells like rotten food too

‘’cc I see my mum at the back of them there holding her back as if she wanted something so bad, tears started running down her face, now I’m just focusing on her while they grab my arms so tight like my arm and the circulation

Their wearing black mask and a gun proof outfit what looks like murder, seeing my mum right in front of me she trying to say something but I can't understand, it's like

she needs to vomit but she can’t, ‘‘Mum Just SAY IT!’’ ‘‘Mum- you uh you have to go doowwn uhh too huh earttth’’

‘WHAT’! I'm sorry they had to make that choice, they drag me away like a dog that doesn't wanna walk, they grab my arms and threw me into a room like throwing trash into a bin, I saw all my friends in here they were all sitting down on chairs surrounding a rocket it was pretty tiny but it would fit us all, it was made out of old England brick that you find in a horse stable, all the guys come marching in with rest bands what had nails

poking out in the middle, they all said give me your rest NOW, we pop them out of our pockets

They hatched them on with all their strength ’’ OUCH’’ they all scream, now it's me, sweat falls down my face like tears,

The left my hand up into the air and shoved it on with all the nails poking into my arm, feels like a pins and needles but way worse they said this will help us know if its safe down there or if you died, they said now go into the rocket seats, so I walked over there with sweet falling from my face, I sat down into the cold chairs, while they strapped us all up as tight as it can go, they guys said see you on the flip side, 3.2.1 black smoke goes out the bottom of the rocket ‘’were heading  down to earth’’ someone screamed out, my eyes started to

water like I was crying it didn't help with the sweet falling from my head,

‘’Everyone take off your straps’’ someone suggested, I SAID NO ONE TAKE THEM OFF, but no one listened as if they had ear  muffs , someone took it off and they were floating in the air, I told them it such a dreadful idea, the rocket started to slow down for some reason I didn't know why?  BANG as we stopped and flew forward like I got whiplash, OH NO drake!  ‘ the guy who took it off’

Has blood coming out of his head someone check if he okay, Cody replied, Cody touch him and he felt his last breath, guys he is dead his heart has stopped, I replied great so someone already dead, Now no one undo their seatbelts, we need to see what happened to the rocket, oh uh guys

Jess said we have bumped into a rock, NO someone screamed in fair

Lately, I've been learning about plastic In the sea! We have Our inquiry that we do every day
well almost every day, as you probably already know that plastic is bad for the environment and that it's
hurting all the kind loving animals, which is very sad since I'm such an animal lover:(

10 minute Writing Challenge

Today we had an awesome morning in Rimu Class
My story was about, Dear Diary, Its about a shoe, Its a short story but I still like it
If I had a choice I wouldn't choose this topic but the whole class had to do it to
So basically the teacher put a 10-minute timer and I had to do it really quickly,
I got kinda scared because at the halfway of the story the timer was about to go off!

• Dear beloved, sweet secret, diary, Guess what my Human foot made me do today?
• I was walking across the path I had to walk into the gross, wet, soggy, puddle, this is the WORSE day of my life, It's even worse enough him putting his ugly warty foot in me, when he puts his foot in me Its like chocolate and salad together IT DOES NOT MIX WELL, This makes me feel sad, worthless, nothing to him I want someone that looks after me not who takes me through a gross puddle, I need a clean right now I feel dirty, wet, slimy, this is DISGUSTING! I think I'm gonna run far away from him
• Because even trash would treat me better it would have a home some banana skins, I WOULD EVEN HAVE SOME FOOD TO EAT, I'm getting teared up my skin is going away! he treats me really bad  Thanks, diary your always there for me!

Discovering our heritage!!!

Tiny house!!! Math Week

This week we have been doing the tiny house project, it been really hard because of my fingers are really big compared to the little things that go in the house, but apart from that, it was really fun.
it was actually really challenging because the time the teachers gave us was kinda short time but still
doable. At the start when we were practicing I thought there were lots of room on the floor for furniture but when we put all the stuff in there was bearly any room so I found that really challenging but still fun!
We tried our hardest to decorate the whole house but it didn't really work so we had to cover it up with the black pen!

Last week we had awesome hockey game I was very proud of the team, We worked really well together which was really good, One thing that we always do is go in a bunch of bananas

Reflection for the term!

My focus this term has gotten better with the work I have been doing,

Proud of my math as when I would do  math test I wouldn't the answer so

I would have to sit their and try to work it out but now  

my  recent math test I did I knew most of them so I was really happy

Or if not I just think that Im done it, or I just get someone to say to me

Its harried !

           So this week we have been doing lots of writing which has been tricky and fun for me.
       Last week harried the giraffe came talking about life it was really cool to learn new things,
     its basically life education which was fun the year. the year 5&6 went to camp on wednesday so they went to life edustion on tuesday, we the year 7&8 went on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. on thursday the last day of it I had to do paper scissors rock with the other year 7&8 and I won it which was cool,
for me winning paper scissors rock I got to see inside of my body it was amazing.


I cant find any pictures if the year 7&8  at life education so i'll show you some pictures of year 5&6

                                           well the teachers read it to us here is some information
